What Did You Do Today? (2014)

The whole fire season, smoke in the air is a little tiring and worrying. Our neighbor has a propane campfire that looks like the real thing without the worry and complies with the fire ban. All the heat and enjoyment without the smoke in your eyes and feeding it wood. At the end of the night, turn it off and forget it with no worries of wetting it down to make sure it is out.

They were included in the recent fire ban in Alberta.
Our neighbour at a local lake had the fire marshall pay him a visit and threaten to fine him for using one,im guessing it was a new thing because he's been using it for years with the fire marshalls blessing.

NOOOOOOOOO
While I am fed up with the bugs and spider webs and the whole fire season living......I am not ready to see leaves turn yet.

I'll let you know when that happens. I now live in the Foothills and the leaves turn a lot earlier here than they do on the "island".

I will have to pass that information on to my Albertan neighbors with the propane campfire.

Because of the heat and subsequent dryness, lots of fire bans around here no matter what the source is.

Mind you, they just lifted the fire ban in the Black Diamond Turner Valley area.

Drove to Salt Lake on the way to Vegas and went through one of the most intense lightning/ wind storms I've ever seen.

Hey Greg, love the 55. I had a friend in Vancouver back in 69/70 that had one exactly the same, 55, flip front end, 302 done up, but the car was blue. Wonder if it's the same car.

We were on a tornado watch here @ 2:30 AST
the winds shifted & sped up in a counter clockwise direction & poured rain.

Hopefully solved HEAT PROBLEM

My flat head (S.C.o.T. supercharged) V8 has tended to run hot; especially on very hot weather days.

I run a C4 trans. behind it and up until now; ran the trans cooling lines through the radiator. (Griffin)

Not sure if the engine introduced heat into the trans. or the other way around.

To take some of the heat load off the engine; we mounted an external trans cooler under the body. It's mounted so it "scoops" passing air.

Will report results after a couple of hot days.

I managed to have the day off today so I could go to a friends funeral, it bucketed down rain and took the roadster, a few of their club cars escorted Smileys Orange Falcon Wagon with his coffin it to the cremitorium. A real nice cerimony and then it was back to Eliminators club house to celebrate his life, taken way to young and that Fuggin cancer shit is a piss off for sure.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend John ... sounds like he had a nice send off and a great club wake afterward.

Friday Cruz weekend

Friday evening watching as the cars cruzed 8th. We got to check out the newest cool building on 8th as well as have a great vantage point to spectate from.

Unfortunately the rest of the weekend was a wet and very cold washout, I did not even get downtown to shoot any pics. It was a cold nasty wet day. But I did still have that weenie roast and thanks to those few brave souls that came by for a visit in spite of the November day in August!

Not today, but last weekend.
Decided it was about time I started playing with the wheels and tires like dad used to do.
