There are plenty of hat pics as everyone in the room had to pay $10 or wear the hat........needless to say there wasn't any money made....

More to come.....

O Dark 30 (4:30 AM)

Ol' Rodder and N2Roddin left for the Coho Ferry and points Sourh and East a few minutes ago - I suspect a few of the neighbours may have noticed. Thus the pretour gang became the posttour gang.

Great to see so many of the Canadian Rodder gang here in Victoria over the last few days.

Have a safe trip home everyone.

Great coverage........safe travels home brothers.......look forward to catching up on all the stories Wayne.

Just for the record, the reason that Bill's trailer is on the back of my truck , is cuz he's too cheap to pay the extra at the toll booths. He would make a good Dutchman. ;)

I just want to chime in here and say that I had the time of my life, and to thank everyone very much for being a part of what has been a wonderful experience. Our expliots from London Ontario to Victoria have been well documented here, so I won't elaborate, but will say that the weather from Drumheller to Calgary scared the hell out of me!
Jamie and I, and my wife Cher, left Victoria on Tuesday early, through Port Angeles down the coast to Coos Bay Oregon where we had dinner with an old friend, then spent the night. Next day was a fast run to Reno where we stayed with my wife's family for a few days. We are now in Santa Cruz Ca with friends, out of here August 3rd after some reunions and fun, then run east to Knoxville Iowa for "Knoxville Nationals" sprnt car races ( sprinters every night for 9 nights) then head home.
Thanks to Judy and Frank, the Rod shop crew, Roger and A&W, and everyone that participated. I had a great time, and will remember it forever....

There have been a couple questions or comments about "Buffalo Don" (Drifter on this site) and what happened too him. Well...... I ran up to Buffalo with the intention of helping him for 4 days, but as luck would have it I had to pull the heads off my car (in Don's driveway) so only got 2 days in on his car... he was thrashing passed the point of being burned out. At the very end I had to go, he was planning to catch us in Chicago or St Cloud (shades of 07) but that never happened. As it turned out Donnie got his coupe all together and got called back to work at GM, so life changed his plans, and he sounded really happy last I talked to him. He's alive and well in Buffalo, with a slick new chassis under his 32 five window.
NEXT TIME......

That sounds good for Don Clarke, He could do with a break so far as that goes, is it full time back there for him. On egood thing at least he has the car on the way to being finished. Come on Drifter you could make it for the Eastern Cruise maybe mate. If ya see this I have the hollow log here for ya.

Just an FYI to all, our tour has offically come to and end. Clarke and I said our goodbyes on Wednesday around Davenport Iowa and went our separate ways. Both being stubborn and starving for female companionship we both drove right through from our starting place of Des Moine Iowa on Wednesday morning. That was 950 miles for Clarke and only 880 miles for me. It was worth the drive to actually sleep in your own bed (not that we were sharing a bed or anything:eek:).
We spent 4 days in Iowa watching the Sprint car races in Knoxville and Oskaloosa and got absolutely drenched each night. The days were very nice, sunny and near 100 degrees, but for some reason the skies decided to open up at night after the races and rain and lightening like you wouldn't believe (2 inches in 30 mintues).
Fortunately we didn't encounter any hail or anything like that but flooding did occur in some areas we were in. I was happy I could show Clarke what it was like to be in a car without a top again:p. I almost thought he forgot:D. All is well and we've dried out. We passed areas on our way out of town that was flooded so badly that all you could see was the roof of a fullsize van, it was bad.

We had a blast and we are all home safe and sound. More pics to come.

When's the next trip?????

I'm jealous, not about the rain, just the time off cruisin. Sounds like you had a great time. Good for you and thanks for letting us know...

Jamie.....all I have to say man, is you have STAMINA !!

Wow, what a road trip........!:)

Jamie thanks for keeping us up to date with your reports it was great to be able to see what you guys were up to and what we were missing out on,thanks mate, I'll buy ya a beer when we next meet.

Just want to drop in here and thank everyone involved with our adventure west. There are too many people to thank and mention individually... it was wonderful to see friends, both old and new, and running with Jamie was just great. Saw old buddies and family in California and Reno, ran passed Bonneville, hit the 360 sprint car Nationals, the Front Row Challenge, and two non-wing shows in Iowa, and somewhere out of Davenport I didn't see that black 29 roadster in the mirror anymore. It's great to be home, 9633 miles is a lot, but I'm already thinking about the next trip.....
Thank You...
Clarke
