1954 Ford F100 Build

It's been awhile since I've posted anything on this thread ,so here's a bit of an update.Due to money issues I've been trying to get some of the stuff done that doesn't require a lotta cash.Today I started on one of the small mods I had in mind for the cab.This one is the removal of the ashtray ann filling it's spot in the dash, so here's the before

I've gotta bring home my die grinder in the next couple of days and finish cleaning up the upper corner between the panel and the glovebox.That's it for now .but I have some other ideas up my sleeve,just gotta sit down and figure out how I'm gonna do it.

You could have turned it into a varse so you could have a bunch of flowers in there for your wife dale, nahhh that will clean that area up and smooth the lines, good to see you are getting onto it when you can.

Long over due on this! I'm still picking away at the cab and here's a update;
First off I created some patches for the firewall where the rad support rods brackets were torn out.

Then I didn't like the looks of both cab corner repairs that were done before I bought the cab,so I decided to redo 'em

Sorta opened a can of worms(Read that rust worms)!Sorta goes the way of this truck since I bought it.

Chuck the buck and the piece of of 18 gauge inta my trusty vice and proceed to lay a beatin' on the metal.

That's it for now,will post more as I progress.

That's a bitch to find that.

I had a similar awakening.
I knew the left rear cab corner was hit in a accident and it was starting to come apart.
When the repair was taken out, the inside cab corner was not only rotten too,
it was never straightened.

Good thing you opened up the "new" patch. That saved you some frustration and cash later on when it would have shown up after being painted.

I redid a lower 1/4 panel patch one time and found a hatchet that had been bondo'ed and glassed in as a filler.
