My Dad took these in the late 60's early 70's. I have some more from Edmonton that I plucked off the HAMB. I will maybe add them in a day or two if anyone is interested. I also have some from mid-late 70's that I need to scan and I will add them as well.

Love to see more. If you have any T-buckets or alter style as I have been searching for a picture of an old Fiat that I have the frame and suspension from that was supposed to be from that area and raced in the late 1960's, early 1970's. Told it was a small block car with the 12 spoke American spindle mount wheels on the front and slots on the back which are still on the frame I have.

...great pics!!....now you got me on the hunt for some I know I have somewhere ... same era in Calgary ... the outfit I worked for campaigned a brandy new Hurst Dart ...

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Seems to be a lot of interest of late in the old drags.
A lot more variety and colourful, plus one did not have to be daddy big bucks to do it.

Alcan: Coooooool! Thanks for that, keep'em coming!! BTW: Any idea what year those are from?

Thanks!
James

Great pictures, a look back into a different time.
Great looking cars too, wonder where some of them are now ?

Alcan, thanks for the trip down memory lane, spent a lot of my youth hangin around Speedway and remember more than a few of those rides. Sure wish I had a few snaps of my old '64 Pontiac I used to play with out there! Alas, life and too many moves and they have all but dissapeared. Once again....."Thanks for the Memories".

Here are some more that I found on the HAMB. They look to be a few years older that the ones my Dad took.
