I had the same issue with a 34 chev from Alberta. ICBC gave it an assigned serial number and made it a u-built. I bought the truck , hot rod, and went to change the registration from 2007 to 1934. The truck had glass fenders only. ICBC requested that I prove it was a 34 not an 07. I did that and they changed it for me......luck I guess...How much of your car is glass?

Glass car as far as remember with an original frame . frame is the only part of the car with a number to match ownership. Was registered in Ontario as a ford because the numbers match the ownership. I guess thats to simple when your intension's are to screw every one you can out of a insurance claim.
