That particular one is a 1988 at the latest. I recognize it as a Grand Marquis or Crown Vic but that could cover a pretty wide range of people, from those who purchased one new to someone whose parents had one. My 2014 Honda also still has manual heater controls, so the bigger thing of note in that photo may be the ashtray lol.
I think the first one refers to the current generation, not future generations. About ten years ago, I had my son and his friend in the back seat of my Neon, which had manual windows in the back. My sons friend asked us how to roll the window down, as there was no switch.
I still do that even though I know the drill!! Getting old isn't for sissies or sissys or ??
A younger guy that I work with told us this story.
He had just got his licence (around 1996), he had never driven his Dad’s truck, had only driven the newer family car so far.
He was driving around Saskatoon in his dad’s truck with his buddies when he got pulled over by the Police because he was driving with his lights on Bright.
He explained to the Officer that he did not know how to dim the lights, pulling on the signal lIgor switch did nothing.
The Officer had to explain to him about the stomp switch on the floor.
