"The Iron Duke"

I presume you are referring to the Chevy 11 motor of the 60's and later
used in Fiero's.
They are prone to block cracks in the lifter bores without turbos, so
I dunno..........A mercruiser engine of the same style is apparently a
much stronger block.
I had one once in a Model A.:(
 
Iron Dukes are not the Chevy II mills, they are the later mills used in monzas, S-10s etc, they have crossflow head.
