This is sort of a car question. I have small a utility trailer I built probably 35 years ago I used a pair of Rambler front axle bolt-on hubs. I have no idea what year or model of a car they came from. I would like to replace the inner dust seal. Would anyone here happen to know a part number(s) I could look up. Thanks

1. See if you can read the part number of the seal itself and then do a google search.
2. Search the CR catalog for seals of the dimensions needed. CR catalog link.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I was hoping not to take the seal out and damage it in case I can’t get a new one. Here’s a picture of what it looks like.

I do not recall seeing a seal formed like that.
Is there a number on the other side, the side we can’t see?
Oh I get not taking it out until you have a replacement in hand....

Rambler used the same stuff on a lot of their vehicles. Looks like maybe off of a Rebel, Hornet or mid 60’s American.

Here is a NAPA seal number OSN 27SS2729 It looks like that one and fits models from 1950 to 1979. Timken number is 9ATS201106136687 The only other seal is 1980 on and fits all rear wheel drive models
