Photo Test Thread

This thread can be used by Supporting Members if they wish to do a test photo upload (insert) before attempting it in an actual post. Please do not test hot link (remote) photos here.

A few things to remember:
  • the original file must not exceed 6000 KB (6 MB)
  • it will be downsized to 800 pixels wide

  • If you need help, please refer to my How-To in the Resources Section.

Oops..
Just posted in my lincoln thread trying out the new picture posting . I used full image. Is thumbnails preferred?

Testing photo uploading with our Bonneville bike. This was our starting point, a 1933 AJS 350cc that has been in my shed since 1968.

Progress photo shows how we drove the smog pump used as a blower. above the blower is a 1 litre plenum.

We never had it running good enough with the blower, so switched to NA for the B'ville runs. Best speed was 80 mph.

A few comments (maybe reread the How-to):
- Sassy: make sure you tab down a line otherwise your photo will be offset on the same line as your text (tab down meaning return or enter key)
- PG409: if you "attach" more than one image, you have to select to display full image otherwise it defaults to thumbnail.
- CDNflatlander: same comment as for PG409. If you use attach versus the insert image icon you have to select full image vs. thumbnail.
- ratrig: I think full image is preferred. Same comments about tabbing down a line to get you image below the text.
- Bash and scratch: same again about tabbing down.
- al37ford: for single photos, I would always use Option 1: If you are uploading a single image in the Direct Upload Images section of the How-to. You used the "Attach" function. Again, see comments above.

Everyone: Maybe reread the How-To HERE.
