is there any book or any other rodder who has done the conversion from mechanical to hydraulic brakes? Maybe someone has posted info on this? We are gonna put 48 ford pick up brakes into the 30 pick up.

thx for any help!

There is a bunch of information if you google search "Ford Model A Hydraulic Brake Conversion". I'm currently gathering parts to do a '30 Tudor.

Seems there are a few tips and tricks from the reading I have done. Curious to hear from someone that has completed it though. As any tips I would have are just heasay as I havent tackled the job yet.

Just a link, seems like fairly comprehensive coverage of the job.

If you go with the 47-48 spindles then upgrade to the 53-56 F-100 brakes witch bolt on to the 47-48 spindles with some wheel bearing changes and are much better than the 47-48 brakes. The drums shoes cylinders Etc are still available at your local parts store. Lordco, Napa??
