A buddy in Kelowna is ready to part with their race car. 1932 Bantam fibreglass altered, BBC/auto drag car. The car was built on the US west coast in the 60’s and raced up through into the very early 90’s. I wedged my 6’ frame into this car a few days ago, I could not operate any of the controls as I am much to tall. She is about 5’ and a bit and raced it up and down the coast as well as her home track in Mission.
Great nostalgia garage art, rebuild to show, or race it! Many extra parts and spares included including an open deck trailer.
Post questions here, for those that are serious reach out to me and I will connect you to Leigh.
If I woulda fit, it would most likely be in my shop today.

Brian, good questions; price will depend on the take list, good conversation for the seriously interested and the owner.
They do have a file on the car, I didn't ask about times and trophies, we had talked about that 30 years ago...lol Todays classes and restrictions will be different than in the 80's or 90's. My thought would be bracket racing and or exhibition.

Johnny and EBEAR, yes the front end has internal torsion suspension....zoom in and it should be clear, I have other pictures if that would help make a decision to pursue further. I did not get down low enough in the rear to capture any good pictures of the rear axle set up...just a couple clicks of the wheelie bars.

Thanks guys.
Greg

A mate of mine out here used to race a Bantam Altered many years ago but had kept the body and has now built a rod using that body an running a V8 Nissan engine with a blower. If you are interested have a look on the net, there might be something there on Dragway Wheels site. His daughter was the first woman in the world to run over 300 m.p.h in a rail.
