If the idea of building a 1951 Ford F1 hot rod turns your crank here is a semi complete project with the majority of parts already assembled.
Body is almost all there and in remarkably good shape considering it is 70 years old. There is some rust in the flooring and front cab corners, also the lower box sides need repair. Of course the wooden box flooring will have to be replaced. The running boards are missing. The grill, hood and tailgate are all there and usable. The front fenders have some issues so a set of new fibreglass reproductions are included as alternatives. No work has been done on the body but it would be hard to find a better original.
Chassis can almost be called a “roller”. Mustang 11 IFS with 2” dropped spindles and power rack is installed, frame is boxed and C notched at the rear. A Ford 9 inch is installed with parallel leafs in place. Disc brakes all around are part of the package. Also a pedal/power booster is included but not installed. As well new GM style steering column and banjo steering wheel are included.
Power Train includes a complete 350 Chevy (ZZ3) with Edelbrock Carb, a distributor, starter, alternator, water pump and power steering pump. It has about 60,000 miles on it. Trans is a turbo 350 with a new Lokar shifter. The rear end, as mentioned is a Ford 9 inch with 3.55 gears and power lok (posi). Drive shaft is installed. A new aluminum radiator and electric fan are also included.
Project is in Parkland County Alberta.
