Here is when I did the wheels the first picture I had to make a special tool holder for my lathe to cut the wheels. I used a Ford truck axle to bolt the rim to so that I could hold it in the lathe to cut it. Then I used my slip roll to form the 1/8" x 2" flat iron to the diameter of the wheel drop center. The next picture is tacking and putting it together. Here is the wheel tacked together for finish welding. Once it was welded I took and checked the wheels with a dial indicator for run out and found I was less than .050 if an inch. Then cleaned up and took for powder coat. Front wheels are 16 x 4 with 500/525 Coker Firestone and rears are 16 x 6 wheels with Coker 700/16.

Many thanks for the "how to", great job. I guess I won't be able to do mine with an axe and a crescent wrench after all! :D

Merry Christmas.

The other Keith.

Here's a few more pictures. This motor is what started this whole project or vision. I built this motor as a high school automotive project back in 1983 and I needed a place to put it so this is where it is going. It's a 394 Oldsmobile rocket with an Isky 3/4 race cam Ofhenhauser dual quad intake. Slightly ported and polished heads other than that pretty much stock. It has a Bentsen transmission adapter that mated a 1996 Camaro 5 speed transmission to it.

WOW!! I am impressed, but....I DO have one question.

Are there plans to complete the box job on the T's frame????

Here's a quick shot of a Touring I used to own....

Old fart no the plane is not to box it . The frame is not a modified stock frame it was made with 3/16 plate press baked to size . The size is 1 3/4 by 4 1/4 .

I'm curious to know how you prepared the joints in the frame prior to welding them. Hopefully, a full penetration weld joint was used.

Starting to show a few pics of the metal work sorry they seem to not be in order . All the patch panels I have and will make my self . The kick up over the axle is 4 1/2 " . The body is going to be 2 " over the frame . I'll try and get the pics to the stage I'm @ seeing I was shown again how to put up pics .

Looking Good Driller ----you made lower panel on back ?? Aftermarket ones are 1/2 inch or more out --check your lid too fit if is aftermarket panel. Ask me how I know lol --Thinking yours will be as low as my buddies ---bout same set up 1.5 off the ground

Cheers Shane
