Some of Bob's Miscellaneous Adventures and Tricks

This picture shows where the original headlight bracket was cut and a short bracket welded to it. This was necessary because the new upper control arm was in the way. The original bracket was bolted to the outside of the frame.

This was the location of the cut of the fender/light brace.

The running board supports start out as 1"X1" square tubing. They fit in the slots under the running boards snugly. You would think Ramrod new I was going to use these tubes. Way to go Dave. ( as in Teale)

One of the brackets required dropping, being bolted both on the side of the frame and bottom for a good support.

As you can see the cantilevered pivots worked well . This hides the ugly pedals that stick out the fire walls and possibly are obstructed by a motor or steering . This leaves a clean look.

These pivots start out as flat 3/8" stock . Steering knuckles from lawn mowers are used .The knuckles are held with 3/8" bolts into threaded holes and held with nylock nuts.
For the pivot hole, I found a 1-1/4 inch OD tube and matching bronze bearing. A grease nipple was added for extra lubrication . Most of this hardware was obtained at the local T.S.C. store including all my stainless hardware.
