Fitting Body Parts
Not only has Bob provided us with construction photos, he's also supplied the text for these shots.

There were many holes to make and tap. These were necessary to hold the fenders and running boards to the frame. Markingcare fully and drilling . It would have really helped if I had an extension. It was tough on the knuckles.

As you can see, these are the bolts holding the inner fender to the fender just above the front suspension. These bolts will later be replaced with stainless steel bolts on the re-assembly. Notice the angle of the upper control arm.
This is the built in anti-dive. Anti-dive prevents the front of the car from slamming down hard when the brakes are applied.

This picture shows the rear of the front fender mounted to the inner fender and frame.

This shows the underside of the running boards. Support is necessary due to the length of the span.

Here we have the front fender rear brace. This bracket is necessary to keep the fender from flapping at "warp" speed. Again, a lot of drilling and tapping.

Note the washers under the heads of each bolt. These are to help spread the load and also keep the heads from digging into the fiberglass.
