Bill Crookshanks, Canmore, Alberta
'34 Dodge 5-Window Coupe
Bill located this body in 1998 but, given that he has been building a house, had to put the coupe on the back burner. He's anxious to start and a frame is the next priority.
All in all, this body looks pretty solid.
In the background, you can see a '32 Desoto frame which Bill straightened, boxed and sold to a friend. Bill plans on running a 350 with a tranny that he can shift manually. He's got a lot of parts for the car but still needs fenders, running boards and a gas tank cover. He recently put his hands on a complete, original, Dodge hood and sides, and a grille shell.
Bill also sent along a picture of a car he built in the late '80s - a 1953 Chevy. The car was originally in bad shape, says Bill, but he brought
it back to life an "ran the wheels off it". His wife Mardi did the upholstery. Bill and his Chevy parted company in the mid '90s.
