Old style teardrop trailers

I have always liked the old style "teardrop" trailers that I sometime see in the old pics of the '30s and '40s . I am hoping that some of the members have some pics of these trailers. I am thinking of building my own and was looking for a few ideas. I know there are probably pics on the net but with my dialup, I could grow the lumber wating for them to download. Would'nt be suprised that somewhere on here, there is something already like this.So.. anybody else think they are cool? UB

Bill,
You don't have to download them, persay.
First create a new folder on your computer, call it Teardrop Trailers, this is where you'll save the photos you like..
NOW:
Google / images / teardrop trailer. ( click on my link below to save time ).
Find photos you like, click on photo, when photo enlarges, right click on photo, click 'save picture as', when prompted, save it in the folder called Teardrop Trailers.

Here's a Google images link to Teardrop Trailers.

Thanks techhead, cool site :):) WOW !! this is really good, I just spent some time there and looks as though everything you could ever want to know about little trailers is right there for the asking. This is gonna be a huge help to me. I still would like to see if anyone here, actually uses one. UB

I know Bill has already seen these, but for anyone else that cares, here is mine. Built in 1949, I found it in the Mojave desert in 2006, restored it in 2007 and have beat the crap out of it ever since! It needs to be redone again, not completely redone, just freshened up (paint and polish).

Looks like Fred is trying out the soft blankets in the tear drop. Those trailers are popular in this area. You see a lot of them at the rod runs.

I am building a teardrop this winter. am about halfway thru.based on a woodie theme . am using a old tent trailer frame. I just loaded the pics on my puter however aint able figger out how to put em on here. these little trailers are a lot more fun to bring along , as oposed to a murder home. Bruce

Wrinkles, when you get the picture posting figured out, I would like to see your progress from when you started to now. I didn't know that they are so popular with rodders. UB
