NSRA Northwest Nats last weekend

Went to the second NSRA Northwest Nats last weekend in Ridgefield Wa , and have to admit that the general concesus was they were pretty disappointing overall. At the first one lst year there were several problems, including sticking the Canadian Corral off in a crushed rock ' sandy dustbowl and a disasterous Poker Run , but at awards they assued everyone that they knew of the shortfalls and would get it together better this year. It seems that many people just didn't want to give them the chance to fix things and didn't show up this year, because there were barely 500 cars this time. The grounds leave a lot to be desired - a lot of dirty, sandy areas and limited grassy areas. The general feeling though was that it was a bad weekend to have the show being it was the July 4 holiday weekend and many people go away. They had one "exhibitors" building which was pretty dead - very few dealers and a few of the "non car" things that are always there. Would we go back?......I doubt it but we booked a room anyway just in case!

You should send them this feedback, its the only way it will improve the show if it is to continue.

They, the NSRA, use to have show in Spokane but over time it just died.

Then Goodguys stepped in.

The NSRA has mainly eastern shows, with very few in the west.

Problem with them is that you can't contact them by anything other than phone or write them a letter. The smart thing for them would be to have some way of getting feedback. Yes, the Spokane show started out good but has gone steadily downhill.

Yes, we were quite disappointed also. I did see a window sticker with #556 but pretty sure they didn't break 600 cars. Puyallup Fairgrounds is far superior but we did manage to find a grassy area between 2 buildings both days with nice big shade trees. Hotel was awesome, grassy areas near the pool with lots of shade, and many restaurants within walking distance. Will we go back next year, not likely.
