Stolen Race Car, Saskatoon.

When they caught the guys who had the motor, the rest of the car had been cut up into little pieces. I saw a pic of one quarter panel all bent to crap.

The car was indeed cut into pieces and discarded in places like ditches and the like. A fellow working with the CN saw some along the tracks and called in. Seems the guy running the chop shop had panicked when the night before police had called by looking around and then decided to ditch the car in pieces. Which was really dumb because the car was so well known and identifiable. Then a friend of mine heard about a new 572 for sale and called Bob and set things in motion to catch the ones responsible. Bob is already well into a replacement car with as many of the original parts as possible.

Need to out these thieves. Names, locations and pictures so everyone knows who not to talk to and which way to aim sparks or other projectiles.

Update on progress

This is just an update on the rebuild (with what little parts he could salvage of the race car stolen and cut into pieces. As you can see Bob is well under way to returning what was saved back into the car that was such a part of the family.

i think it would be fitting to change the name from scat rat to scrap rat after all it,s been thru!

Wow! That's awesome to see it coming back to life. Does he have a build thread anywhere that can be watched?

.....after death there is always new life . And this Olds will live again . Nice to see he is well into the new car and the Scat Rat should be on the track this summer. As for the thieves, they should be tied behind the car and dragged.
