Question re removal and install of a two piece screen.
This is for my 46 Mercury Sedan
The rubber has the stainless trim around the outside.
What would be the correct order in which to remove the screen rubber.
I have removed the centre divider from the inside which releases the centre divider on the out side.
For removal of the rubber do I need to remove the stainless trim first or do I cut the rubber out and remove the trim after?
For install of the new glass, does the trim get fitted to the rubber first or fitted after the rubber is in place ?
The glass is broken on both sides already so an accidental slip there won't matter, the trim presently has no dents and I'd kinda like to keep it that way.
My "glass guy" will be fitting the screens back in and measuring for the side glass on the 58 Suburban while he's here. Not sure if he has done a split screen before so I'm putting it here for further info and help, any tips gratefully received
