Another Elephant lives.

The Elephant is official running with the Camshaft broken in and the valvecover and intake leaks gone after a few heat cycles and tightening. I was hoping to drive it this year and I suppose there's still time. I will do the wheel alignment tomorrow and if I can get a few buddies over we'll install the hood so I can build an aircleaner base for it (shaker hood car with a non-stock intake carb spacing).
It's a bit louder than my other cars have been and will be the silliest HP as well. 528 inches (I downgraded from the original 572 plan), ported Stage V heads, light CP pistons etc.

Gosh.....you are the hemi guy.......for many years.....awesome looking build..

I still remember your passes on our local strip in your purple Hemi Cuda...

Keith: Thanks, that seems like just yesterday but I think my first passes at NCR were over 30 years ago! It flys by, I guess I haven't learned anything either, still building the same stuff I was 40 years ago..

One thing about it Sheldon you are doing a great job there, tear it down and a full rebuild, that will be better then the car was when new, nice to see.

Thanks John: Actually I hate working on cars so when I'm done with them I like to be able to weld the hood shut and just wash and drive them. Currently waiting for a new Mcleod clutch, the new Zoom didn't last too long. Garbage can is getting more full everyday but that's okay.

Sheldon I know waht you are saying there, I am the same once it is built just drive it and a wash sometimes, I hate laying under a car on the side of the road as well so that is why I always kind of go a bit heavier duty.
