SBC Iron Intake

I have a 1967 GM Iron Intake Manifold that is missing the oil fill tube.

I am putting this on a 1970 block, the valve covers have the oil fill cap.

Anyone know where I can get a freeze plug to cap off the hole from the fill tube?

Fill tube Plug

Frank, not sure if this will work for you, this is a piece we were going to use to adapt a PCV to an early Chev engine.
The diameter off the insert part is 1.30", the cap is 1.53", if it is of use to you I'll be at the Ancaster fairgrounds on Sunday.
If you can use it check the diameter of your manifold hole, if it's close or larger I can take a couple thou. off for you.
Sorry for the bad pic.

Regards,
Brian

Brian,
ThanX,,
I will get a measurement of the intake.

Will you be vending? inside or out?

EDIT::
The Oil filler tube hole is 1.25"

None of the stock SBC freeze plugs are small enough.

call me to discuss meeting up..

ThanX a million Brian.. :)

Why not just get another intake? Seems easier to me, they're all over the place, and it sounds like you're not doing any number matching stuff.

Hey B,
Nice meeting up with ya. Been a long time.
The plug will work just fine. Test fit, no shaving of the side at all.

johnny37,
You'd be surprised what folks here in Ontario want for a 69+ SBC Intake.

Hi Frank,

I've had a SBC non EGR 4 bbl manifold for sale on Kijiji for $20 for quite a while.

Hey Bruce,
I guess cuz I had a few I had stopped looking for a while now.

I did clean up the one I have and paint it.
Heated my BBQ to about 150 and sat the intake in there for about 20 mins, then hit it with dollar store oven cleaner. did the same to the set of heads I got from ya.

Here the parts are painted and the plug from Brian installed on the intake.
