Default Walton's Shell service, White Rock, B.C.

Anyone here have a connection to Walton's from the late 50's, early 60's??We took a fire dept course this weekend from a senior lower mainland Battalion commander. He is about 8 years younger than me but also hung out at the above garage which was at the foot of Oxford St and Marine Drive.I hung out there mid 1959 to late 1963. Lots of rodders cruised there, bought their gas and drank in the battery room. Took my first ride in a 409 car, as Ross Schnurr bought a '62 DQ409 4 speed from Midway Motors in White Rock and scared me in the 20mph beach road going much faster !!!* Several Vancouver rodders also cruised in there as they had White Rock connections (chicks). One was the Cherry Kart....29 rpuowned by (politically correct order) Whittenberg, Johnson, Maxwell and nowWoods....Neat times and neat cruisin the "boardwalk"............I must grow up some day!

I should have added this building still exists, basically untouched from the early 50's and is now a muffler shop on the main drag....
