I had a '78 F150 w/351M, and it had an oilbath air cleaner, and it was OEM....they were not common on vehicles of this vintage, but they were still out there........

thanks, I was not aware that truck motors were a little behind of the car engine world, now makes more sense, so what Kustomshoebox may have is an FT motor as you indicated in another post.

I didnt mean the m engines were the same as the 352 /390 just saying ford mad a strked version of the M motor (351m 400m) as well as a stoked version or destroked version of the 352/ 390 engine.

my 77f250 with 351M had regular oil filter weird eh!?

my money is on an industrial fe most likely a 391 by the looks of the thermostat housing and oil bath came in mid 70's larger trucks 1-5 ton
