Default 46/47 Chevy Headlights

I am in need of the top piece of the headlights on my 47 Chevy truck. Also need the trim rings. I would like to buy a complete headlamp set if anyone has a pair. You can see in pics what is missing.
Also need the valance piece under the grille.

Nope not a 1947, that was the first year in the newer style with the headlights in the fender. What you have is 1941 to 1946 because during the war (WWII as Archie Bunker used to say) Ford and Dodge made mostly Jeeps or Tanks or Aircraft or something, but GM continued production of trucks and cars for ambulances, military vehicles, domestic essential services and staff cars based on the 1941 models.

I would think on the Prairies you will be able to find what you are looking for (or Ebay?) I think the big trucks just had a wider front fender.

I might have what you are looking for but the mailing will be expensive, call me if you get super stuck (desperate).

I have searched the net about the 47 having the earlier 41-46 style. GM started putting the new body style to prouction in May of 47 and for sale in late June. Lots of pics on the net of the early style 47 trucks. I always thought the 47 was the new style. The truck I have was bought from the original owner who still had his bill from when he got it from the GM dealer. I am the 3rd owner. Here is a website with some info on the trucks.

As for parts I found a box of parts in the cab under some junk. In it was the headlight trim rings and the 2 glass turn signal lenses. I still need the top metal pieces that cover the turn signal parts.

I looked too and there was one (over priced but with best offer) on eBay but when I went back to find it, to get you the link, I couldn’t find it for a second time? There must some off all the farms trucks, I see them at swap meets regularly (Good excuse to go to Red Deer, huh?)

Check your serial number on the cowl. The first number is the year of your truck. Should start with a 7. Pat
