The Bullet Birds

Two buddies had them, one a 1961 coupe and the other a 1962 Sports Roadster. Never really liked the design but they gradually grow on you.

Put the nose on the pavement 1° of rake and rollin ,,too cool

I like that series, they always ride so low and they look heavy. Had a chance to buy one years ago but passed on it.

As a young guy (still a kid) one of my mentors, way before I knew what the word meant, built up a ‘Bullet Bird’. 429ci and many custom touches to the body and interior. It was a complete build in a single car garage…really smashed home to me, his attention to detail was top shelf. When this car was completed it still wowed me every time I saw it around town… and I didn’t yearn to own one of these big birds, just appreciated the build and the builder.

I think they are great especially done up like a custom. One was definitely on my radar along with a squarebird before I bought my Riv.
