Breakie......,

Hi Frank,
I got your e-mail and would love to come and see some familiar faces....
Dennis

Gonna try and make it for breakie.

There is also a metal meet that weekend.

I'll be there for breakie, then heading north east to the metal meet.

No excuses....take cameras and take pics....lots of pics.

(Don't rely on someone else to bring the camera, because if everyone thinks that, then there will be no record that this event happened!:D).

Breakie happened.... :D :p I did not go to the shop, had another engagement to go to.

Great to meet up and see some familiar faces, been a while.

Thanks for the great pics. For what it's worth, I am going to make a comment regarding safety that appears here, and that is the practice of using concrete blocks to support cars. Not a good idea!

Just my $.02 Bgbkwndo.

Thanks for the pictures guys, looks like not only a hearty breakfast but some very cool cars in the shed there, I think Gary fitted that Trunk didn't he, ??? I aways thought they didn't have a boot (sorry, trunk ) lid on the flat back, then again I have been known to be wrong in the past.

Yes Dave, you are right there about the blocks, but at least they are on their sides so not so bad if there are not many people around who would be likely to bump them. But you are right. A good alternative is to use car rims welded together.

While I,ve got this thread hijacked, I'll comment on Johns answer: concrete blocks are at there weakest when laid sideways.

Nuff said........now back to regular program.

About the blocks, not what I'd do but I simply wanted you guys to see what was there.

About Gary's slantback, you're right John. Gary created that trunk and lid. He used the original sheetmetal and HAND formed the gutter and trunk lid inner structure. The hinges are Ford Focus or Escort I believe.
