The High River Show & Shine, hosted by the River City Classics, is the last large car show of the crusing scene in Southern Alberta, and there may be smaller ones or cruise nights that will continue unitl mid-October.
When I say large, about 1200 paid registered vehicles show up starting at 7 AM. By 10:30, there were 990 rides.
As usual, there are sometimes several hundred that don't register.
Previous night, there was a burnout on one of the main streets.
As well, there is a hot air ballon competion too on this weekend.
The show takes over the entire downtown core, a major park and has a huge overflow area, all which were jammed.
The crowds were riduclous, and some oblivious to cameras too, in that I never got to the George Lane park which would have had over 400 cars or the overflow area. There were just too many rides that I had not seen at all or for some time.
That's one of the attractions of this show. Therefore, I didn't take photos of the same old, same old as there were lots of them too.
Well, maybe one or two at the most.
One street was filled with food trucks and other vendors.
The photos on the CR FB page are those in the downtown area only.
