Mohawk drag strip - Deseronto

Hi folks,
I’ve been away from this sight for many years so I probably won’t be remembered.
I raced at the Mohawk drag strip in the mid fifties ( yes with the flag starting line ) I lined up at the starting line many times with Bob Beezer on the flags.

We raced several cars at different times
We raced our Anglia ( C/Gas ) against Jim Oddy’s blue C/Gas Anglia.

I raced against John Petrie’s
D/SA ‘59 Plymouth Fury
( NORTHERN LIGHT )

and several other cars


I would really like to get some pics from that time period if at all possible
Is there anybody left on this sight that help me out or talk to ?

Buickboy..I’m liking that name..so this means your ride is a Buick?..any pictures would be most excellent..welcome home.
 
Can't help you from the west coast but your mention of flagman starters sure brings back memories! Thx.
