...Hooligans Second Annual Poker Run for Juvenile Diabetes Research is now in the history books. Crowd was about the same as last year, weather was no better than last year. (managed to scream all the way up to +11c). Not sure how much $ was raised but everyone was happy with the day. I got about 70 pictures here, hopefully Photobucket will co-operate today......
The morning started at The Complete Wheel Shop. Owned by Jason McPherson, also Hooligans member.
The shop and interesting projects.....

Jason hand built an aluminium roadster pickup which was featured in Canadian Hot Rods a couple years back.

The body shop next door had a Lincoln project on the go

...And a gigantic mural on the wall.....

....And the Poker Run...

...The Twisted Sisters served up Ice Cream....

...And one stop to check out a local Rodders Collection...

...And burgers for all....

...And some people had way too much fun....

....And when the awards and prizes were handed out... I went home with .... an oxy-accetylene welding outfit......

....All around good day. And, they are doing it again next year......

So if the engine's in the box what's under the hood, a trunk ?

If I remember correctly, the hood tilts forward and there's a big-a$$ cooler in the middle.

....The engine/trans/rear end is out of one of those late 60's Olds Toronados... They were a front wheel drive but in this truck it drives the rear wheels... Under the hood... well, knowing Kelly, its a really BIG beer cooler in there...

Cool Stan... thanks for sharing those. Even though it may have been a whopping 11 degrees it was dry and sunny by the looks of it... great turn out and some real cool projects.
