Don't ya just love how they designed the chain drive on the 1921 Mack truck differential. The driveshaft goes back 1/2 way to a transfer case, to a diff, then from the diff, driveaxles to outer cogs driving large chains back to the wheels. Why didn't they just make a rear axle differential and scrap the chain drive ? ? ?
Also check out the mechanical brakes on the drive axle and the hand crank starter..
It WAS a great old truck to see just the same.

Saw something similar last year at the High River show. Makes one wonder at what they were thinking.
