Ford OD trans Question

I need to know if I can bolt an R10 OD unit from a 54 car 3spd onto the back of a 53 light duty truck 3spd, the casing is very similar.

Have you tried a Hollander Interchange Manual.??
Your local library should have one and give you the info.

Also, any old auto wrecking yards in your area would have
one of these manuals.

Yeah I have checked the Hollander, but it won't show it as an interchange due to the OD trans case having an extra hole in the back where the OD unit shift rail goes through. After taking some measurements today it looks as though this will work if I bore the hole in the non OD casing, I will update more on this when I can...
