Hello all, best of the holiday season to you. Need some advice on sealing pan on a C6. Have had a small leak in the shifter rod for some time, got the new seal and have now pulled it apart. My thinking was to silicone sealer the new gasket to the stock steel pan (after doing a little straightening) and leave the tranny side alone. I do hate leaks so that is why I am asking before I put it back together. I have seen the damage goop can cause when sucked up in the oil pump and sent out to engine passages.
