3-on-the-tree and 3-speed toploader swap

Has anybody got any advise on swapping out a 3-on-the-tree for a 3-speed toploader behind a 59ab?

I like to start with a 38-41 #48 style trans case. Then pull the gears out of the side shift and drop them into the top loader. You will need the later 3'' shift fork. Clutch will be the same. Rear mount will be the same.
When I learn to get pics on here, I will.

What year side shift transmissions can you get the parts out of to convert a top load? I was thinking of swapping internals in my 32.

The later gears (1946-1948 car) I used from the side shift, fit only the 78 style case (1939-1952). For 1932 applications (1932-1935), I think you can get away with using the (1936-1938) gears from a 48 style case. That way you will have a better first and revers. But no later synchro, gears won't fit in your case. Also your shift tower should stay the same.
