ok,
got the newley z'eed frame back and during mock up i think now i'll have to split the rear bones to clear the frame.
worried about 'binding' so wondered if anyone had done this before and how they solved it.

Bucket,
I'm using a 40 Ford banjo in my 29 and converted it to open drive. I was facing the same problem you are. I wanted split bones but not the binding. I read a couople articles and started to work out my situation. I used the tried and tested tie rod end for the front of the bones. For the rear, I cut the other ends of the bones to accept a piece of DOM tube, that Chevy upper front a arm bushing would friction fit into. I welded mounting brackets on the banjo rear. I also built a torque arm similar to Rodwerx's. Now I have all kinds of motion with no bind. I just hope I built the torque arm strong enough.

Get sqhd to shoot ya pic of the ones I did for the T I sold him. I cut and turned em out so they bolt on the outside of the frame.
