Click on the lil coupe below and it will take you to the pics. Pretty good show for a small town...about 75-100 cars, lots of people and good weather.

Good trip there Gramps, thanks for the pic, it looks like a nice area and a touch of snow on the hills around there as well, cool.

Cheers, John

Some sweet rides there, did not know that Kalso is a hot bed of rod activity.
Thx for the tour.

Nice job Gramps... I recognize the purple 49 merc torpedo back (Purple people eater) from C'brook. They were here at the Lake for the show here on the Sept long weekend last year. Nice folks, they came over for a shop tour. TTFN

Thanks for the great pics, Gramps.
I am wondering if the "Purple People-eater" might not be the car once owned by Norm Danielle from Kamloops? Of course Norm bought the Merc he had from ex-PTP'er Lloyd Meyers.

I have the "purple people eater" owners business card.. It is owned by Ron Demaniuk of C'brook. He used to be /or might still be the Pres of the "rockin in the rockies" club. Im not sure if the club is still in op? TTFN

Lloyd Meyers of PG. I did a LOT of sanding on that car !!

I thought he built that car. He was telling me he had a heck of a time fitting and some sleepless night after chopping the hole out for the Rivera rear window.
He owns a pretty nice Nova or ChevyII also...I can remember which.

Its a Nova........ lol.......... I just talked to him last night on the tele. Seems his group (from C'brook) are coming over for the Christina lake event on the Sept long weekend. I offered to put together some shop tours. When Chip and I saw the merc at the goodguys event in Spokane I looked at the build album. The album was very complete and I though he built the car as well. I will admit that I thumbed through the Riv back window install section a lot!!

Cheers Les

Great show, great looking day.
I get homesick everytime I see a show with the Rockies as a backdrop.
The Merc with the Riv rear window is definately a nice custom. The '41 Studie got my vote for Classic Vintage.

There is a good possibility that Lloyd Meyers will be at a lunch I will be attending in Langley, this coming Friday. I will be asking him a little more about the build of this car.
