There might be a few solutions:

1. Check and make sure his CAPS LOCK button isn't on. If it is, then turn it off, and try again.

2. Make sure that he's putting Davey_Joe instead of Davey-Joe (underscore and hyphen)

3. Make sure he didn't forget his password.

4. Do one of those 'Forgot your Password' things and then type in the e-mail address or the username you registered with, and it should send you an email telling you what your username and your password is.

Davey, glad you got it going. I have been having a hell of a time too. Still don't really know what a avatar is...maybe those little pictures? Main thing is to learn which icons to push to make things happen first. Techhead gives great instructions for posting pics. in the tech area, so check that out.
The minor things like avatars will come as time passes and become more important.
