Well guys
The roadster just let me down on the way home from work.
I just left work and hit the highway and (Cough.......sputter)the roadster quit.
I coasted for a long ways to the driveway of the chevron, of course you guys know how it is, the gauge is on empty, but I think I can make it home......NOPE!
I went in and bought a jug and as I was filling it up a guy drove up and asked me if it was my Deuce on the road.
I said yes and he said he would park his truck behind me with his hazard lights on.He did and we started to talk as I was fillin er up.
He said he was from Ontario and was just driving by and couldn't leave me without seeing if I needed help.
He has a 48 Chev PU and a Model A and a bunch of other stuff.
Well after I put 10 bucks in,still wouldn't start, pulled the air cleaner off and had lots of gas, AHHH CRAP!
NO Spark, I have an HEI Chev Dist in it,wiggled the mail power wire to the Cap and BROOM! fired up, the contact looks a little dirty, but it got me Home.

I didn't get the fellas name,But I really appreciated the help.
So I will thank the rest of the Onion Patch.

THANKS guys, we need more guys like that one.

It is not often people stop anymore. Usually, they scream on by too busy to get to their destination.

Maybe one day you'll get to pay it forward....

How cool is that eh Kelly, now who was that masked man. Hey no doubt you have done some good for folks along the way as well so it's just comin back at ya man. Sounds like a guy like most rodders, most would jump in and help a fellow Rodder and to think you were in a none descript plain jane car as well, yea right, just another 32 roadster stopped on the side of the road, cool eh comroddery is alive and well.

Cheers, John

I'll always stop for a fellow hot rodder. My only request is that on the one day in the future that I need help, someone stops. Its karma boys. What goes around comes around, and Kelly, you have some stuff coming back your way. Good on the onion patch!

Good on the man for stopping and assisting with his 4 ways as a safety precaution. To often you hear of someone been killed standing on the side of the road because the approaching vehicle didn't see them. Such was the case of a former boss who while changing a tire on the side of the road was killed when a semi trailer truck took him and the left mirror and didn't even scratch the car. It was dark, he was wearing dark clothes and had no lights turned on. Definately was not the truckers fault.

People are strange when it comes to aiding another, but when it comes time for them needing assistance, they wonder why no one is willing to stop.

I had a self awakening a couple years back. Travelling to work I noticed a woman with a flat, it was pouring rain and she was in dire need of assistance. Rather then stopping and been late for work I flew passed her. A few hundred yards down the road I had a change of heart and turned around. After finding the lugs could not be freed because they apparently had not been removed since day one I went knocking on doors till I found someone with WD40. After what seemed like an eternity in the rain I finally got the spare on and the woman was good to go.
I arrived to work late, soaked, but with a sence of renewed faith and fellowship in myself and a profound feeling that I had done the right thing.

guy's I don't think the comeroderie has never left most or all of us but the averege guy on the road is like they say in a hurry to get some where, but see an accident and too many people stop and get in the way as well
I'm glad it was a good deal for you there's been times I've stopped for the odd person with a regular car only to find they had a cell with some one coming so off i go "but you never know"

Remember all the old car clubs had business cards that had a blurb on the back about "You've been assisted by a memger of the "_ _ _ _ _ " Hot Rod Club. Got a lot of good publicity and changed some people's minds about those greasy hoodlum Hot Rodders.

Yes Tiquer, I would rather be Coney like you, but I am a little nosey alright.
I was a little worried about the 32 being dead in the middle of the road, I was not paying enough attention to the important stuff.

A few years back going to leave the grocery store i saw an old lady with a chev caprice hood up. A younger guy was walking away from her and she looked upset. I asked the lady if she needed some help and she said her car wouldnt start. I told her i would boost her. no biggie right. While looking the connections and hooking the cables up i noticed a bad connection and tightened everything up for her. After she told me that the guy that was walkin away wanted 20 bucks to boost her car.

Up until recently I have always drove the 500-1000 dollar specials that work great 95 percent of the time and been in a tough situation or two on the side of the highway myself. Always got help when needed and even when not needed (asking if things are okay have a cell phone etc) I hope the trend of good semaritons keeps up but what that young man did to that woman was rude.

I had an old 77 ford f250 that didnt like passing gas stations ran out of gas one day and a guy happened to be outside his house saw me outside asked if i needed help told him i ran out of gas ready to walk a mile er so home and he pulls out a can of gas he says dont worry about replacing it just want to help.
Of course i borrowed the gas can and returned it full with along with a 6 pack.

Good on the Ontarion for helping you, hope good things come to him. Just goes to show easterners are good people and the further east you go, the better they are.:)
