Yep that's a 51 alright, but it looks like it was the Master Deluxe model going by the joy stick, oh sorrythat's what's left of the steering wheel. I'm sure I saw a better example than that of one of those when I was there once, I'll have to go through my photos and see where it was. It was a car just quietly sitting waiting for a new owner to poor some love into it, it might have been half way between Edmonton and Jasper or where the 35 3 window sits on the pole.

I'll check for you it would be a whole lot eaiser for you guys if you could get a better one.

Cheers, John

Don't let these nervous Nancies talk you outta building that s/d, Mr. Haney. My ol' Chevy of the same vintage was in about the same shape when I started.

I may be mistaken but does the first number in the vin on the GM cars during the mid forties and early fifties not represent the year of the vehicle

Is that a Pontiac or Chev? My pop had a Pontiac in the late 50's and I learned to drive on it. Mr Haney, where did you get that beast? Friend of mine was selling one. He is in Kelowna.

these sedan deliveries are getting hard to find, I used to have one but traded it for another project. Its surprizing the amount of people that confuse the sedan delivery with the panels vans

The only shot I have of one of my early rides, a 1953 Pontiac sedan delivery here in PG. It was pumpkin orange with radiused rear wheel wells, reupholstered,no front bumper and a set of M&H rear slicks. It was built by John and Bill Eastland here in town and I bought it from Ralph Wright. The picture shows both rear taillights stove in where a bartender reeled out of the
PG hotel and drove into the back of me at a stop sign without even finding the brake pedal. Unfortunately thats when I found out the neat looking car was made of resin soaked newspaper with bondo applied over top.
