First, the serious part.
Congrats to Danica Patrick on winning the race in Japan.
The press has made so much hoopla, but she was a good driver
who came up thru the ranks from karting and has paid her dues
on the circuit for several years. She watched, learned and paid
attention and finally won a race. No bigger deal than any other
rookie except for gender. Good for her, but racing is racing and
the future ........???
Now for the "Secret Coors Club" (more on them later) who, some
18 years ago developed a brochure using Simpson Racing Products
catalogues and we designed a Simpson Racing Bra. This was to be
used by female drivers, particularly those with large mammary
glands to help offset centrifugal and gravitational forces particularly
on small ovals where there was a tendency for the glands to shift
to the right and cause cars to lose control and spin out, etc. A
prototype was put to paper, but we had problems finding a model
to test the unit, but we did line up a race car and a track.
Maybe it is time to dig it out of mothballs. I will call Pacerman....
