I don't think that is a politically correct statement, but it is the funniest thing I've read today

How anyone can complain about a 'gay' handshake when they've read a thread with a title like this?
took me a few hours before i dared look.

I have to agree with rustbucket.... kind of puts a new twist to the term "hot rod" and we really don't want to go there..........

As far as we know, this car had a couple of incarnations. It ran the show
circuit in Sask, Alberta and North Dakota in the 50's and 60's. There is talk it was owned by a doctor early on, I think from the Dakota's.
There were car show dash plaques in the car when we took it apart.

I was told about the Lincoln Zephyr in 1969 and it was for sale in an estate settlement. I went to look at the car and it was in a old building next to a Royalite service station in North Battleford Saskatchewan. The car looked like it had been sitting there for a least 2 or more years. The car had the nail head Buick, metallic green paint, bumblebee interior and chrome reverse wheels. They were hoping to get $3,500 for the car. The next day I told a friend I worked with (Cliff M) about the car. Cliff wanted to go see what I was talking about, after looking at the car he offered to help me buy the car, there was no way I could afford it, he then asked if I would mind if he took a run at purchasing the car. I am not sure what the final purchase price was but Cliff ended up with the car. In spring of 1970, I moved to Prince George, in 1971 Cliff came out to visit and decided to move to Prince George as well. The car was driven from North Battleford to Prince George and then used very little. Cliff traded the Lincoln to George Dimor Motors for on a red 1966 Ford Galaxie 500XL, 7-litre, convertible. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1965-1966-ford-galaxie-500xl.htm.

The Lincoln was sold and I rarely saw the car around Prince George. I received a call at work several years later to see if I wanted to buy the Lincoln, after getting the description over the phone that the car had been sitting outside, the Buick nail head had been left with water in it and frozen and he was trying to put a Mopar V/8 in it, but hadn’t been successful, and after hearing the price he thought the car was still worth, I turned down the purchase of the car one more time. The next time I see the car it is Davey’s possession and on the trailer as in the previous pictures, which was meant to be. When Davey got the car on the road he pulled right up to my door at work to show me what he had transformed the Lincoln into, a stunner to say the least. After Davey sold the car it was done over again (not to everyone’s taste) however won in some more shows and then was sold to the east coast, Chicago area I think, then I saw the car advertised for sale in Florida. The next appearance of the car was in Barrett Jackson, I phoned Cliff (in Vernon now) to tell him to watch the car go through, he said it would probably make him ill, I told him that’s ok I have turned down buying the car twice. I haven’t seen the car surface since.
