Just heard that Wild Wednesday at the Chinook Home Depot parking lot is moving to a new venue effective June 10th.
It will now be set up in the NE corner of the Deerfooot Mall at Deerfoot Trail and 64 Ave NE. This is the same area were the Spring Thaw is held.
Reason for the move: it was getting too big for the Home Depot parking lot
and cars were encroaching into the parking for the business areas.
On a hot night, upwards of 350 rides would be there.
Better ingress/egress at the new venue. Plus they can close off the area so that John Q Public does not park amongst the various rides of all sorts.
There was also problems with big trucks parking in the event area prior to Wednesday night and they would be in the way.
