WHAT A WEEK-END!!!!
We were eight cars from Sudbury! We left home mid-morning on Friday, had a great visit with Paul Barber at Horton Hot Rod Parts. The show is held Spring & Fall at Joe Sam's Park. There were over 1100 cars attending, and some 400+ vendors, 95% auto related!!! The last registration number I saw was 1111. The weather was great, low 20's all week-end. I had the top off the roadster all week-end. I'm a little wind-burnt this morning! LOL! Saw this neat "non-traditional" roadster at the show that I just had to post here. This is not a , dare I say it??? ratrod folks. This is a well engineered, and well executed car. I didn't get to chat with the owner, but the car is a mid to late '20's Studebaker. I'll let the pics tell the story.....

Some of the things that are not seen on the pics are the engine: it's a flathead 1/2 dozen with a side mounted supercharger.
The rear suspension is semi-eliptical springs and coils.
A buddy and I were looking at a '36 Plymouth Coach last evening, as a project for him and we noticed that the stock front axle on the Plymouth was the same one as on the Studebaker!

That's a cool little car.
Is that frontend the norm or are the springs mounted upside to get the car lower ?

It appears that the frame is flipped over and the springs mounted topside. The rear is kicked up for the rear suspension:eek:. I've seen this arrangement only once before.
