On Saturday, May 10, 2008, at our local Royal Canadian Legion.
Flyer (http://ca.geocities.com/yancia@rogers.com/docs/janinasflyer.pdf)
This is the 2nd year my wife (Janina) is putting this event on. It's a fun night, with a DJ and an Impersonator. The music is all from the Fifties.
She has asked me to post up to see if anyone here would like to join in on the festivities and possibly show up in your Rod or Classic to the event.
The monies raised during this evening of enjoyment will be split between two charities.
Etobicoke Community Living Employment Training Services. In which our eldest child (Terri) has been apart of for the last 9yrs.
Sunnybrook Wellspring Cancer Center, as this is also an important cause. They have been very supportive throughout the difficult times that my wife went through during her breast cancer treatments and continue to this day with weekly/bi-weekly support meetings.
I'd like to thank all in advance who express interest in this event.
Frank

Hi Frank,
The event sounds great, are tickets available at the door?
Are you bringing said Rod or Classic to the event?
I drive a 70' Chevelle Convertible, lots o fun, itching to get it out !!
My wife Tammy was also treated at Sunnybrook when she had Lymphoma, Sunnybrook is a great place doing good things.
Sounds like we both have great ladies who like to give back to a worthwhile cause.
Tammy has now planned and hosted (on her personal time) her own Road2Recovery events, This Oct 2008, will be the 9th Annual.
The events have raised $180,000 combined, check it out at http://road2recovery.net
Let me know about the tickets for your wifes event.
Robert

Hi Robert,
As far as I know, there will most likely be no tickets at the door. Last year I think there were maybe 10 tickets left the night of the event. This year I suspect all tickets to be sold in advance.
I would would love to have my 58 there but it's in peices and will not be road ready for a few years. :(
Your wife certainly has been busy, I thought mine was. ;)
My wife has done the 60K walk for the past 5yrs, I joined her once. This year she will be part of the crew.
