Well this is an event, Breakfast in Central Alberta, open to all...
Saturday, April 12.
Phil's, which is downtown Red Deer 8:00 am.....I'll only be able to sit 'till 10:00, so planned disband at 10:00am. Depending on day weather and crowd, there may be something to do directly after....or, maybe not this time, you'll have to be there to find out first hand :)

If anyone needs a map, or simple directions, please PM me or call me (Rodder assistance).

There went our first breakie. It is hard to find good coffee, more so when you have some time to sit and enjoy peoples company.
Thanks to Scotty and his son; Kustomshoebox and his family for the morning gathering! No one got out of hand and thrown in the pail, all was good!!
Soon there will be more rides out and about to view in the parking lot too, I'm sure.
I will do a little scouting around to see what else we can find for good grub and room.

Mike, Pat had posted earlier that the swap was open on Friday at 3pm.....I am not sure, but I think that is for the vendors to set up.....It was also printed that the swap was open at 8am Saturday.

Hi Bob

Vendors will be setting up as soon as the set-up gang has the Pavilions
ready. Last year they were letting vendors in around 10:30 am. We open to
the public on Friday at 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Saturday public hours are
8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Vendors with wristbands can get in the back entrances
around 7:15 am, depending how sharp the Westerner staff is on Saturday
morning.

Once I get started I'll make an update thread to keep ya'll up-to-date, but I'm using the stock front (with a dropped axle) and rear for now. I plan on building a '32 chassis to eventually transplant the body too. (acctually, I'll probably sell the coupe once the chassis is complete and buy a roadster body :) )

Nope! When set up correctly mech. brakes work fine, seeing as I'm keeping the four-banger that is. Once it goes V8 I'll be putting in them new-fangled modern 'juice brakes' that all you kids are running these days...:p

I know, I know, I was sceptical of the mech. brakes but theres an awfull lot of guys still running them down south that I met @ Hot Rod O Rama that swear by them.

It was good to meet up with a bunch of the locals! Old Soul, Scotty (and Jr too), CherryMerc, Kustomshoebox (read big F'n600). Breaky was good there at the Queens Diner, I could be tricked to eat there again (their lunch burgers are huge and awesome!)

I'm thinking that should be a plan. Will look into a place that has a bigger venue than the Queens diner....The Queens diner has great food, but small booths....
Any thoughts of a better breaky spot?

yep me and the tin guy almost take up a booth our selves, also we need a very long table cuz tinmann can throw his food a long ways,but his aim is poor, and I should probably warn you sometimes he stands on the chair and hollers at the waitress "GET IN MY BELLY"
