Some of you will remember from the old board the write off
32 Ford 3W (steel) that was written off and purchased by a
body shop in Prince George. Yourway Autobody has just
finished the body and paint and about 40 of us viewed the car
last thursday night.
These photos were sent to me a roundabout way but here they
are.
The owner of the car is now taking it home to finish off the interior
and wiring, etc.

Maybe its just the pictures, but the proportions look strange to mey eye. Not enough greenhouse, too much body. Kinda cartoon 'squished'. My opinion only though, its only worth what you paid for it. (two cents, tops):D

Huh I don,t think it has the same roof the old one has ribs and I don,t see them in the new one, unless it,s just the way the pic was taken

They have done a good rebuild and really it didn't take that long to get this back into shape considering the damage, Was the chassis twisted as well, it just looks like it was in the picture.

Me mate Pete from down the back and I were looking at these pics and it looks like a new roof and it's had an extra chop than before just going by the window openings and the ribs have gone from the roof.

Cheers, John

That exactly what I was thinking,,,At least it was saved from the dreaded crusher

Car looks great. That'll be a headturner for sure.
I definitely like the new color over that ugly green.

It does look good.

So if that was a write off does the ownership now reflect that it was written off? I think in Ontario if a vehicle is written off then the ownership now has to show that it is a salvage vehicle. Does anyone know?

That all depends on whether ICBC management was in on the rebuild

I went and seen it, he did do a pretty good job. he replaced the frame rails, and did change the roof (thank god) the section of roof was off 2, 91 nissan turned side ways I think scott said, but he didn,t change the chop
and believe it or not scott fixed that right door to the point that there is jist a skiff of mud over it, said it was 5000 bucks to buy a new one .
the motor and trans were amazingly not hurt ,and I guess there wuz about 10,000 bucks sunk into that 502 and lots in the tranny as well. figures he has jist over 60,000 into it now

Yup, the chop is quite radical.
The unit now has to have a structural inspection and
a mechanical inspection then it can be reregistered and
it will show as "Rebuilt" on the status line.
The roof looks WAY better without the ribs.

Not my taste, but it's nice to see it brought back from the dead.

Lee, thanx for the update on the roof and door. Like Tinn, it's not my style, but glad it was saved. Hats off to Scott for fixing this mangled wreck.

Kieth, how did you post those small pictures like that all on one page? I don't think i have seen that before.

That looks a lot better then the green, nice car.

B-Bob, He saved all 5 photos to one file using a Print Shop program of some kind and then uploading it as one photo. If you right click the photo and click Properties you'll see that it has only one file name.

Gerry P, who is a member on here couldn't remember his password so
he emailed the photos to me. I couldn't figure out how to transfer
from email to photobucket so I printed it off, then scanned it then
to Photobkt.

Me too computer challenged!:)

With that heavy of a chop they should have made a Highboy B'ville type of car. It looks way to out of proportion for a Rod.
