Well I guess I will re-introduce my self, I signed up on the board a few years back but since then forgot my email and password, so here I am again. I have a 1966 chevy Belair that im currently working on (will post pics soon) it got a straight 6/powerglide that im getting rid of only to be replaced with a 383 stroker, goin to bag it, put 20 inch torque thrusts and all wheel disc, convert it to power brake as well etc...etc lol want to make it into a nice low riding cruiser. Other then that I hail from Mississauga, Ontario. I have a couple future projects in mind.... a t-bucket, just becuase I have a lot of un-used parts laying around pretty much enough to build an entire car, but in doing some research I have only been able to find fiberglass t-bucket bodies, I want one made out of steel, since I have no idea how to work with fiberglass.

here are some pics of the car, I haven't uploaded the "progress" pictures yet, but all the trim is now gone, the entire front end is off, and getting ready to pull the motor/trans and rear end. Frame and body will be sand blasted by myself, since I know the damage a sandblaster can cause I prefer to do it myself.

Welcome here, I took a look at your album and you have a bit of work ahead of you.

Are the 2 doors rare over there because we mainly only saw 4 door sedans down here and mostly Impalas, I had a 66 Impala when I lived in N.Z. and towed a race car all around the country with it.

Good to see you saving a nice old car.

to tell you the truth, I really have no idea how rare the 2 door belair models are, around here I only see Impalas, caprices and biscaynes and they are mostly 2 door, However any full size chevy, ford or dodge are pretty rare to see since they were family haulers and no one really cared too much about them to begin with. Only recently have I seen people begining to restore full size cars.

...welcome back, I'm near the DVP and Lawrence. The Belair looks like a great project, man, and the bucket should be fun too. You might check with 'stu-Katz' (good parts pimp) for leads on steel bodies....sometime in the New Year, a bunch from this board might get-to-gether for a brekkie...stay tuned...

Welcome back to the forums. The '66 looks like an interesting project. Sounds like it should be pretty neat when its done.

Welcome. :)

Its actually came from the north USA, niagra falls, buffalo side some time in the 70's driven in Canada untill the mid 80's then parked in a garage untill 2008 when I purchased it. Its seen its fair share of salty winters but it looks like the previous owners kept it undercoated and oil spayed it every year, theres a 5/8 inch thick of the stuff everywhere on the car.

Welcome back to the site!I got a fondness for those 66 big chevies as my parents had a 66 impala 2dr ht when I was a kid.You could make a real cool clone outta that car.GM did build some Bel-Airs with 427s in 'em.Oh, did I just plant a seed!
