CanAm Nationls to be held May 18 at Excentric Auto Sports 1508 Walker Road Windsor. The CanAm Nationals is a Right Coast Cars sanctioned event. This show will be indoors, although there is an outdoor display area as well. Windsor Area Street Rods charity this year is ALS (Lou Gehrig's)

Do you know who's promoting it (again)? I heard Sandy got re-involved in it with some backing from some of the towns merchants. Any truth to that rumor??? :cool:

No not really sure who is doing it actually. The rummor I heard was someone about 4 years ago wanted to purchase the show and backed out when he almost went dead on the ER table or something like that. So when he went back to sandy after he was better she basicly told him to buzz off because she had a bad show. "Rumors ONLY" So... In theory it could be him since the site is different addy. And that guy ran a bunch of different shows over the years from import to show and shines so I am sure it would be a good showAnd I noticed today the page has changed a bit now there is a site layout.

Sandy's husband died at Christmas in 2007, so maybe she is getting involved in the car stuff again. They had sold their business, so she may be looking for something to do. Pat.

Ok so I checked it is someone different that is running it. I was told it was goign to be the same format as prior just basicly a little more orginzed and new name. They are actually waiting on the contract from the fairgrounds to ensure everything will be taken care of early "Thinks a year is plenty of time to make it a good show"

Sorry for hijacking my thread back, but Windsor Area Street Rods inc. Has been using the CanAm name since 1975. It used to be an invitational show held alternately by Windsor Area and Motor State Street Rods from Michigan. This year's show, so far, has raised $1500.00 for ALS (Lou Gherig's) When all the bills come in and get paid there will be more going to this desease. Our founding President, Frank Wall, has been affected by ALS so it's very close to our hearts.
