Since my wife was feeling a little better today we went to the Leamington Tomato Fest car show. Not nearly as many crafty type venders as they used to have so she was a little dissapointed, and no bands like the old days, then they had this little Nazi screaming into the PA system all day that certain car owners hadn't registered yet and they had better get there and sign up or leave! This was ten minutes after they pulled in and the money had been collected at the gate! They had music blasting from the Beer facility right next to the show so unless you were walking around the show, you couldn't hear the other announcements. Then they started cancelling your number for door prizes if you didn't get up there fast enough, and were giving door prizes to people that didn't have numbers on the board but who said they heard their number! What a way to run a show. I left after getting into a discussion" with this creep. This is definitely one show I'll never attend again.

Sorry I missed ya Mike; I forgot all about it. Yep no music on Sunday. Originally the main stage was to be near the car show. And the guy runnin the car show didn't want anything going on. Soo...they didn't book any entertainment. Plus they didn't want to pay an extra 300 bucks for the sound system. It has once again been a real friggin joke.
The two guys organizing it just don't get it.

A friend of mine won the "50/50" at this show and got $97.00. They sold tickets like crazy all day long. I see he's doing one in Ruthven. I won't be going there either!

Mike, that guy does all the shows around this area. Our gang used to do the Tomato fest and then when the power went out a few years ago they screwed us so after that we did the Apple fest in Ruthven for a few years. Until they wanted more money from us. We only made about 1,000 bucks as it went back to the car guys in goodybags and pics of their cars that they could frame. Along with a shit load of trophies. We thought a grand was pretty good but the jerks running the Apple fest thought we should cut our expenses and give them more. So it was see ya.
We never had one complaint. We did from a few when they first came in cause it was 15.00 . But after they seen what they got and the door prizes and the amount of trophies that we had they had nothing but praise. We did it for the car guyz, period. But it just got to be such a political thing we said screw it. It just ain't worth the time.
If you do decide to go stop by the main stage. We're on from 1 till 2.

I probably wouldn't get in the gate after some of the nasty words that passed between us, but I'd like to see your band. Maybe I'll get some of the Groucho Marx eyeglasses with the big mustache. I hear it works for the Windsor Casino banned players! Or maybe I can find a Barack O Bama rubber mask. The wife would look great as Joe Bidan.
