Let's see ... I said something about being an "ole fart" in my first introduction.
(well older than many on here!)
Then; as you can see in the tiny picture, my "driver" is a '41 Ford Stake Bed Delivery. (picture taken in '98 at Bonneville)
It was a blown flat head powered originally, but now runs a Chev 350/TH350.
Disk/drum brakes and power steering.
The project that's underway at present - and HAS been for, uhmm ... (I'm embarrassed to admit for how long !! ) -
is a '28 Ford "A" Tudor Highboy, flat head powered, with a S.C.o.T. blower on top. C4 trans to an 8" Ford rear axle.
I used to work in an engine re-build plant (apprenticed) many years ago, then worked for one of the major oil companies.
After a major car accident - which put me on the disabled list - I started an small Automotive Wiring Kit company.
The strain of operating a small business, and then being stricken with a serious health problem, pushed me into early retirement.
I now do the odd custom wiring job, (and NO I'm NOT taking on any jobs, the line is around the block of those waiting!) :D
and working on my "A."
I share the ownership of a Bonneville LSR (Land Speed Racer) with a bunch of guys here in Calgary; better known as "North of 49."
